Information You Submit
Search terms
A name or place entered in a search box is sent to the outside provider that powers the tool. This site does not keep or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages
An email or contact-form message may be retained long enough to answer it. It is not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Automatic Technical Data
A page request can produce routine technical records used to operate and understand the service:
- Internet Protocol address;
- browser name and version;
- device type and operating system;
- pages viewed and time spent;
- the referring page, when supplied; and
- request dates and timestamps.
Cookies
Cookies may help measure how visitors use the pages. A browser can reject or remove cookies, though some functions may then work differently.
Reasons Data Is Used
Technical and submitted information may be used to:
- keep pages available and responsive;
- send a search to the selected partner;
- learn which resources visitors use;
- diagnose faults and security issues; and
- display advertising that may reflect interests.
Outside Websites and Advertising
Links lead to jail inquiries, police and sheriff pages, court and corrections portals, booking sources, and outside search tools. Once a visitor follows a link, the destination's privacy policy controls its collection and use of data.
Advertising providers may measure activity across websites on their own systems to select ads. This site does not control those systems.
Limited Data Sharing
Personal information is not sold. It may be disclosed to search partners that process a query, analytics providers, advertising networks, or a government or law-enforcement body acting under a valid legal order.
Reasonable Security Measures
Standard safeguards are used to protect information. No internet service can promise perfect security, so transmission and storage cannot be guaranteed free from every breach.
Visitors Under Eighteen
The service is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect information from anyone under eighteen. A parent or guardian may use the Contact Us page to request deletion of information a minor submitted.
Your Privacy Choices
Subject to applicable law and the limits of the data held, a person may ask for a copy of their information, correction of an error, deletion, or an opt-out from certain processing. Submit the request through Contact Us.
